Multi-Vehicle Crash Sends Two to Hospital in West Charlotte
A serious crash involving multiple vehicles occurred in West Charlotte. The accident happened in the early morning near Sam Wilson Road and Bedford Road, resulting in significant backups. The wreck sent two people to the hospital, one with life-threatening injuries. At least one of the vehicles appears to have sustained extreme damage. Emergency crews arrived very quickly and apparently helped extricate at least one of the injured people. According to reports, Medic transported the person with life-threatening injuries to Atrium CMC.
What Caused the Accident?
Authorities have not yet identified what caused the accident. Law enforcement and others have likely done some investigation at the scene of the crash and will continue to review information to figure out how the accident occurred. Generally, accidents may have various causes, including human error, mechanical problems, and outside or road conditions. There may be more than one cause of the crash.
